Housing On-Campus
If you are an undergraduate student, you have the option of living on campus in the North, South, Pollock, East, and West Halls.
North Halls are the farthest from classes and downtown, and is the most isolated and quiet halls on campus where lots of international students live. Nevertheless, North Halls dorms are the largest and newest, with suites that have a living room, private bathroom and air conditioning. North Halls dorms are the most expensive among other dorms.
South Halls are the closest to downtown, so the environment will be livelier, and you will have better access to shops and restaurants.
East Halls dorms are small and old, but are where a lot of Freshmen live, so this place is great for those who like to socialize.
West Halls have great food, is close in proximity to classes for many students’ convenience.
Pollock Halls have good mixes between underclassmen and upperclassmen and is also close in proximity to a lot of classes.
If you are not a freshman undergraduate, you also have the option of living in East View Terrace, which is located near South Halls. East View Terrace has single dorms with private bathrooms, but is located far off many classes.
If you are a graduate student and want to live on campus, you could check out White Course Apartments. These units are exclusively for graduate students with or without a family.

Housing Off-Campus
If you want to live close to campus, your best option would be finding places that are at downtown State College. These places are usually more expensive because of its close proximity to campus.
If you want cheaper living options off campus, your best option would be places far off campus like Vairo Village, or The Pointe. Despite their further distance from campus, these places provide free CATA bus passes to campus for residences.
